One of the most popular questions is about the best location for the wedding photoshoot. Photography is kind of a magic, there is possibility to show a great spot in a bad light and rough outskirts in the best light. It is all about light.
Sun is a great source of light. It is even more magical in the evening, in the sunset. Sometimes people call it the Golden or Magic hour. The angle of sun is lower and the light has a warm golden tone, so soft like a zephyr. It is one of the best times in the day to go outside for the photoshoot. Then a specific location is not so important, it’s possible to get nice, loveful pictures even in not a fancy backyard.
Sounds simple, doesn’t it? In Latvia and Northern Europe the sunset times of summer are late in the night. Around 8pm in May, late August /September and 11-12pm in June, July. Often it overlaps with dinner and party time, too. I hope these pictures from previous weddings can tell more than words. It is worth it, to go and catch this magic light.
